Is there anyone in the church who would know about autism/special needs and could sit down with them and explain what might be going on with their child? Since they are not in the public school system, there is no one to point out these behaviors. I know this because we didn't know my 5 year old had Sensory Processing Disorder. Never heard of it! They should be able to get help somewhere. In Kentucky, there is an Easter Seals facility. It's hard as homeschoolers to let others help us when we just want to be left alone, but sometimes we have to have help. I hope they are open to it. Pray about it and maybe you can be the one to speak the truth in love.
