Boy do I ever relate! We have a son who definitely processes things differently. It took us a while to figure out that he was a right-brained visual learner (sometimes called a visual spatial learner). Once we understood how his brain worked, homeschooling him became so much easier! Here are a few links for you to check out in case your son might have this same learning style:
