Subject:	OT: Question about living in Canada

I hope I am not too far off base in asking this...
My husband and I are looking into where we will spend our retirement years (about 10 years or so away).
We are looking into different areas that will be affordable for us "tightwads" :).
One location we have considered is Canada. I wondered, since this board is for Canadians, if someone here might shed some light on the situation for us? Pros and cons, suggestions, anything that might help us decide.
