My question to you is why not? Every adoption is a rescue, a baby is a baby is a baby, no matter what country they happen to be born in. They are created in the image of God and they ALL deserve a mommmy and a daddy. But I will give you a more specific answer to your question. When the Tsunami hit Southeast Asia a few years ago and hundreds of thousands of people died, we gave monetarily, but we knew that nothing we gave would be a drop in the bucket. To make a long story short, the Lord soon led us to adoption although we already have 4 bio children. You cannot imagine the advantage these children are given in life, just by the fact they have been brought to the US, not to mention having a loving family and being raised in a Christian home. There is no place for steryotyping when it comes to children in need. There are millions and millions of children across the world who will never experience the joy of a loving family.

The real question here is why does the US make it so difficult for its citizens to adopt American children? How can the system improve so these children arent further damaged in a system that cares more about a mother on crack who's trying to change her ways than an innocent child who's been abused and deserves a normal and protective upbringing.

US adoption was too risky for me. I could not bare the thought of bringing a child into my home, falling in love with him, my children falling in love with him only to have my child ripped from my arms so that he could be returned to an abusive environment. There is so much more to adoption than the general public understands.
