I live in Perth, Western Australia and I can say as far as vegetarian food goes, the pickings are slim! I'm sure it's a lot better over east where there are more people. I find that most places that I go to can be pretty accomodating as far as asking them to leave the meat out of pasta dishes and things like that. I'd be careful of any veggie soup though, as most of them are made from animal stock. I hope you enjoy your trip and good luck!
