I am fasting regularly since almost 40 years abour 3 to 4 times a year. Fast of up to 6 days without medical supervision and longer fasts my longest being 27 days under supervision of a fast doctor. Unfortunately here in Costa Rica I could not find a fast doctor to check my pulse, so I never could fast longer than 6 days, that is usually when I start feeling some heart-pains. As I am writing this I am finishing the 5th day of one of my more painful (headache) fasts. Usually the headaches stop after the third day but this time I still have a slight headache. Also normally my intestines clean up after a four days, but today it still was completely black after the enema.

That was the reason to search in the Internet about fasting on water. One comment I found was not to drink orange-juice which I don't understand, because often I prolonged the water-fast on one glass of orange-juse a day for almost a week (to get the needed potassium).

I would be very happy to receive some comments about it and interchange fasting-experiences (non-religious).
