No doubt protein aids in rebuilding muscle fibers, however, enough studies have proved that the amount of protein the body needs is substantially less than the amount most of us consume. A diet high in protein can be taxing on your kidneys. I am no expert but I have read a lot of literature about high-protein diets. Do some research on it, but if you want protein, how about legumes or soy?
