Put down the chicken - I will tell you what I did. I stopped eating dairy and sugar. The combo of eliminating those two things in my diet caused me to lose 15 pounds in about 6 weeks. Also - eliminate the beer (saw your other post), not only empty calories but it is converting to sugar quickly in your body and thus becoming fat quicker. Alcohol is such a quick converter. Do away with the oil as well. Dr. McDougall talks about all these things a lot. Your body is exchanging fat for muscle (which weighs more) fairly rapidly. Surprised your trainer didn't tell you that. I didn't think I would be able to give up dairy but it didn't bother me that much. It was harder to become vegetarian than a vegan. Give it a whirl, and don't even consider going back to eating dead animals. You might want to find a trainer that is willing to work with you better.
