Your metabolism won't just "spring back" while you are still restricting calories. You must add the missing calories back to your diet for your body to adjust to them. I don't know how long you have had your body on conserve mode, or if you are at or below your goal weight, and this will effect how you recover from deprivation. Generally, if you eat a healthy balance of foods at the calorie level for your body to maintain your ideal weight, you will just have a "bounce" where you gain an extra 2 to 5 pound over your goal weight while your body figures out it doesn't need to be on starvation mode anymore. If you stay with a healthy diet and at the right calorie consumption level, your body will let go of the extra few pounds and you will settle into the weight you are trying to maintain.
