A quick history...I've been a strict vegetarian for going on two years. Borderline vegan. I don't use milk anymore, rarely use eggs, but still eat cheese. Since I have made the switch in my diet, I have gained 12 pounds (140 to 152) and four sizes (from an 8 to a 12). I still work out at the gym regularly (45 minutes of cardio, ab workout and then weight training...usually 3 times a week) and my trainer insists it's my diet that is sabotaging my weight loss. However, I'm not ready to go back to eating meat. I am committed to finding a way to continue being a vegetarian without comprising my weight, hence my post. Any recommendations from someone that has been through this? What's the best way to shed some extra pounds and not compromise the lifestyle that I have chosen. I love being a vegetarian, and cried all the way through the grocery store at the thought of buying chicken.
