Help! Can someone tell me how to get rid of VERY STRONG varnish smell? I bought two six foot tall, solid wood bookcases that I had someone stain and varnish. The guy at the paint store some me the supplies and I did not look on the back of the varnish can and neither did the guy I asked to work on the bookcases for me. I had the shelves sit out on the outdoor patio for two weeks just to let the smell go away and finally put the bookcases in my daughter's room a week ago thinking that the remaining odors would eventually disipate. Well, it's been a week since I've put them in the room and I can't stand the smell! I've refused to let my daughter sleep in the room. I've tried vinegar(basins!), baking soda, cut up onion in the room, candles, environmental/air sponge, etc.... Help!!!! I finally, in frustration, picked up the can of varnish and read the back. It said, "FOR EXTERIOR USE ONLY!!" Help!!!!
