La Cotta stove top clay pot made in Italy (very healty)
This is a La Cotta clay pot. It is made with a mix of clays and even volcanic ash to add a unique and delicious flavor to meat and vegetables. The La Cotta greatly intensifies the flavor of herbs and spices. Also no oil is needed in cooking meats in a La Cotta. The meat becomes very tender and intensely flavored by herbs and spices used. By wetting the Lo Cotta before cooking, it actually steams to some extent.

This is used, and somewhat stained as you can see in the pictures, but that is what happens to these pots as you use them. They become "seasoned". The handles got burnt at one time. I didn't know how to use the pan and put it in the oven! Dumb me! Other than that, it is in very useable condition.
