Subject: Obesity psychological problem?
Date: January 10, 2014 at 12:19 am PST

I suffered for depression for years but am getting better and trying to take back my health from obesity/depression by adopting a vegan/plant based diet.
I go to therapy and was told I need to get some protein by eating beans with rice, moderation is key, lose weight slowly, and that my obesity is the results of stuffing down my anger etc. that it all is psychological why I'm fat and that I'll stay fat and regain the weight I lose, until I resolve these psychological probelms.
But I wonder how true that is? Because people seem to be getting fatter and fatter and it's getting more normal to be fat, it can't be that they all suffer from depression, repressed anger issues and bad childhoods?
