How is see it is that the transition to veganism doesn't have to be a wasteful process. As a consumer, we should keep an eye out for new products that have animal products or animal testing. I believe that we would be further disgracing the animal if we just threw away the products we have that animals sacrificed for us. I also feel that if you get rid of your car, you are more likely to buy a car that does have some fraction of animal abuse intertwined with it and the processing of it. If you think about the process, you sell a car, you buy a new one, but you don't know the in's and out's of the processing of the car. is the paint completely animal free? You don't know. So, I believe that it is better to keep the items you have that have animal products in it, then to waste them or purchase new items that may not be completely vegan. For me, Veganism is an awareness of your consuming behavior toward the benefit of animals. I will not give up my leather shoes that I bough 3 years ago, but rather wear them until they are no longer able to be worn. wouldn't that respect the animal that died for then better then throwing them away? Am I not avoiding purchasing more shoes that may contain traces of animal in it due to the fact that I can't certify 100% that the new item i purchase is vegan. This is my stance, you can do what you want, but I think wastefulness is also wrong. Thanks,
