I was wondering if anyone knew how to get these mushrooms. Most mushrooms (if I'm not mistaken) are grown in the dark, but mushrooms exposed to UV even for a short period of time (1-2 hrs) before harvesting have more vitamin D. I'm interested in obtaining them as an alternative to taking vitamin D pills. I know you can get it naturally from fish oils and salmon, tuna, etc...but if you don't eat fish or a vegan...how do you get your vitamin D? I know...get in the sun...but what if you're a person of color and thus, the melanin blocks sunlight absorption. Is there anything else out there? I have this question @ healthfull.wordpress.com If you have any insight, I would greatly appreciate it!
