Subject: news flash - PETA against pets
Date: July 22, 2009 at 10:46 am PST

PETA is all over the news yet again, in their anti-animal-rescue diatribe. Sports Illustrated has a wonderful story on the Michael Vick "Vicktory Dogs" that were rescued and rehabilitated. hey are doing amazingly well. PETA continues to rail that "well, they still won't have the same life as other dogs", and says they should all have been gassed.

What they don't want to come out and say is that their agenda is to make domestic animals, including pets, completely extinct, on the grounds that being a pet, "subject" to humans, is degrading and not a quality life, and "compassion" demands that we kill off pets. Their intellectual guru is Peter Singer, who also thinks the old, the disabled and sick, and the "less than perfect" at birth among humans should be killed - on compassionate grounds, of course; we want everyone to have "life quality", as judged by PETA and peter singer.

These people once were compassionate, humane if passionate folks that I could endorse. Now, I believe they truly have gone over the edge. They are dangerous. Worse, they are plausibly, seductively dangerous. They endorse spay/neuter, after all, and what humane animal person doesn't? but their real agenda is NOT "good homes for all".

Even if you are not a sports fan, read this bit in the Dec 29, 2008 issue of SI. It will make you cheer for these wonderful dogs and their new humans.
