I had an epidural steroid injection today and not only was it painfull, it does not seem to help with my back pain. All of my lower disks are herniated. I always thought of steroids as being vegan because I read somewhere they were plant based. I'm surprised you didn't ask if your narcotics were vegan and I'm surprised that your doctors let you stay on them for 10 years without trying any other kind of treatment. If they come in pill form they probably are not vegan. I take Tyn. #3 when needed for the pain and I doubt if they are vegan. I don't like the thought of it but I need to be able to function to keep a job. So how did things work out for you? Ellen
