T. Colin Campbell mentions aflatoxin in peanut butter in The China Study - he was researching
liver cancer in the Philippines where he found "all twenty-nine jars ... were contaminated ... with
levels of AF as much as 300 times the amount judged to be acceptable in U.S. food." No mention of what that acceptable level in U.S food was, or is, nor of how accurately it was a)
measured, b) enforced, or even c) set in the first place. If you read the rest of The China Study, your faith in any government standards of any sort might
be more than a little tarnished. As in obliterated. How do you spell collusion / influence peddling
/ manipulation of diet recommendations for industry interests. See The China Study for details.
