Stay away from prepared foods. Not only do they have a ton of preservatives and stuff in them, but they give vegan food a bad reputation: they are expensive. Vegan food does not have to be expensive. There are many people who eat vegan because it is the cheapest way to eat. Real food, vegetables that looks like they were grown on a farm, are cheap and more nutritious than something shrinkwrapped from a factory. If you are not used to cooking from scratch, get a good cookbook and practise. There are plenty of recipes that do not involve a lot of time to prepare. Check out Jo's books (link below). Keith
