I'm not even going to read other people's thoughts in their responses here before I compose my own, because I rather suspect we'll all say the same sort of thing. As you say, the world will still go on, Pilgrim's will still continue to sell meat and people will still continue to eat it. However - you will have stayed true to your principles. That is the most important thing of all.
