Extremely difficult concept, to be sure. The only thing I will interject here is that almost everything we do to animals is completely unnecessary, most animal testing is also unnecessary and misleading. But we have a choice, we can live without meat, without being entertained by animals, without fur, etc. etc.; there are alternatives that we take advantage of. In this area, though, there are no alternatives, unless you use herbals and natural medicine. I do that whenever possible, personally do not take prescription meds but I guess my point is there is no viable alternative and therefore our choice is to be sick, or depressed, or whatever, or take the drugs. In almost every other case there is a choice and/or an alternative. That may make a difference, or not, but it's something to think about.
