1. I would rather not be born than be an animal in the factory farming industry. Our job as citizens of the planet is not to help things be born. Our job is to live our lives, keeping our hands off other living beings and not exploiting them.

2. If you buy products made without animal products, you are sending a message to those corporations that those products are viable. For every half gallon of Silk you buy, for example, that's a half gallon of cow's milk that is not produced. That's a good thing.

3. That is not our responsibility, to keep factory farms in the money. Our goal is to reduce animal suffering by refusing to purchase the products made out of them and boycotting those products is the most immediate method of doing that. Maybe that's another reason to buy the vegan products that those companies sell, it's a simple shift from animal-exploited products to vegan cruelty free products and everybody wins. In a perfect world, all those corporations would be busy making vegan products for people to buy, they would still need to employ people, still have a viable company.

We do the best we can. It's a way of empowerment in a world that is 180 degrees from perfect. It's really all any individual can do.
