Subject: travel/vacation eating

Hello all. I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks. This involves a caravan
of SUV's carting extended (carnivorous) family down half of the East
Coast. We've made this trip before. Typically, stops are made at
convenience stores and fast-food joints. I know I can get a veggie
burger at BK, but what do y'all do if you have to go to a McD? (Choice
of stops won't be up to me.) I expect I'll need to carry fruit and
some kind of energy bars, but what do you all buy on the road?
Suggestions welcome!
