Well, wild bees aren't exactly in captivity. They are designated into hives that are in a certain area or region. Just instead of making hives in trees or heavy foliage they make it in man-made white boxes. Bees aren't trapped in cages or forced to pollinate indoors. They do A LOT of pollinating. Wild bees are actually being killed off by the mass number hornets that is sky-rocketing in North America. A dozen hornets can kill thousands of bees within hours. I believe they are more safe under the watchful eye of mankind. Minus the harvesting...of course.
