I have recently switched from veg to vegan and until now have had my pet hens who lay a couple of eggs per day. After a period of time I just found myself unable to eat them. Somehow the concept of eating animal products has become off putting - I agree that your tastes can change too, even the differences between wholefoods and processed foods has become somewhat intolerable. My husband and kids still eat the eggs. Every now and again i have enough to give to my neighbour. I agree that it doesn't seem a problem to eat the eggs that would be wasted otherwise.
