it seems like if there was such a study and it was real (most studies are so skewed by special interests one can never be sure) the meat industry would take it and run with it like they did the stuff on omega 3's and salmon -- every time you see a list of foods to eat it includes salmon. Also the very sketchy and questionable studies on dairy and weight loss, look how they've advertised that to death.

There is such an obvious lack of good nutrition information coming from meat, Howard Lyman makes a point of that in his book that nowhere do you find that any kind of meat reverses heart disease, or lowers cholesterol, or has antioxidants that retard aging -- only plant products can claim these things. If there were studies that really conclusively showed positive finding, you can bet it would be in every magazine, on the evening news, on billboards, right in your face just like salmon and dairy are.
