Subject: heads up on animal related legislation
Date: October 6, 2006 at 12:09 pm PST
check out the ASPCA website. They are now working on a campaign to defeat legislation that would make it a crime to engage in ANY form of attempt to change practices in animal-related businesses - even to inform the public of which companies are or are not cruelty-free. It would make it criminal to disseminate information on cruelties in puppy mills. Most of Robbins' books would be regarded as "terrorist activity". This legislation has ALREADY passed the Senate and will go before the House soon. I hope that this post is not inappropriate for this board. Just sahring info so that others can investigate further if they wish.
