Awhile back I recommended a moisturizer from Avalon. I have been
researching chemicals on the EWG website. This site is definitely an
eye-opener! I have not bought this moisturizer for about three months
and have been using an organic shea butter product instead. This
particular moisturizer has a "moderate" warning. Some are higher and
some are lower. I recommend checking out any personal products and
their ingredients that you might have or be interested in using,
especially hair color. After all, these products are being ABSORBED
through your skin! It is amazing the number of ingredients that are
cancer-causing, or detrimental to liver, linked to birth defects,
toxic to workers and the environment, etc. "Natural" doesn't
necessarily mean safe or chemical free, even if a few of the
ingredients are organic.
