I mean, of course, it is horrible, but is it any worse for these chickens than any of the others who are killed under factory farming methods. This sounds more like an issue for squeemish people who don't really care about the welfare of the chickens but just want to make sure it's all done far from them, so they can view it in as detached a way as possible.
