My view on the subject is covered in my column "Non-Vegan Prescriptions" (link is below). Although this is about prescription medications, the same could apply to OTC products (to a lesser degree). I believe that if you do not feel well it will affect your social performance and ability to function to your optimum in all areas of life. Acne is both an infection and a social hindrance, and I feel you need to do whatever you must in order to manage it. Of course, finding a safe, natural, and vegan method is the best choice, but if you cannot find one that works for you (and if you have actually tried to seek out such an option), you have done your best. No one can ask you to do more than that. Veganism does not required perfection. If it did, none of us could call ourselves vegan.
