Hi! I went to NYC last weekend with my boyfriend for the Farm Sanctuary Benefit (love those guys!) and the last night after a lovely vegan dinner at Red Bamboo we got engaged. The ring is an antique (I told him "recycled" or nothing after the Amnesty International diamond campaign) and I plan on wearing my grandmother's dress & doing online invitations...but other than that meager start I am really looking for help with planning an eco-friendly vegan wedding that will still impress my huge Chicago blue collar - meat loving (think Sat. night live) family. I would love any advice - I am really lucky that Chicago has so many great places for vegans but I am looking for some sort of guidance... Thanks!
