Subject: Good, inexpensive vegan foods that require no refrigeration or preparation?
Date: April 15, 2006 at 12:04 pm PST
I have been trying unsuccessfully for 15 minutes to post this on another site. My apologies if it ends up at both sites due to a glitch. It looks like I am going to be homeless for at least a month, starting next Thursday. I am trying to think of foods that will be easy to eat in my car. I'm in MI and it's in the 60s, so they have to be shelf stable foods. I have several cans of beans and some nuts. I will probably have to hit up a food pantry too, so will get some canned veggies (blech, but beggars can't be choosers) and canned fruit that way.I do have access to a fridge and microwave at work, so I am thinking I may get some instand oatmeal to eat there. Can anyone help me think of other things that would be cheap and easy?
