There is nothing that will convince you that a vegan diet is healthiest like reading, and you have to read the right books. I'd recommend Mad Cowboy and No More Bull by Howard Lyman, he's so straightforward, the books include information on health and environmental reasons to go vegan, and he's mighty convincing, let me tell you. You should also without delay find yourself a copy of the China Study, this book scientifically proves that humans are intended to eat a plant-based diet, you certainly won't see cow's milk the same way until you read it.

When you become vegan, everything seems to fall into place -- the way we feel about the way our fellow creatures are treated, the reason why a garden seems so much more to our liking than the image of a slaughterhouse, the fact that myriads of plants contain substances that are good for our body.

But I'd say read and then get yourself some awesome cookbooks and get cooking! Because this way of eating also opens you up to myriads of great foods you never knew existed, the variety is astounding.
