First off, I am NOT a vegetarian... not yet.

Second, this is something I want to do... I don't live in the US, so many of the issues
surrounding meat and such are not the same in the organic farming country where I live.

That said, this is something I want to do for myself... the next step in my road to a healthier
lifestyle... my father died of heart disease, he was not obese... would he be here if he was a
vegetarian, dunno... but certainly had a better chance... my grandfather, who PROUDLY ate
red meat 4 times a day had a near fatal stroke at age 51.

What about me?... well, I ballooned up to 370 pounds in the 15 years since I left high
school... then I decided to make a change, and after tackling and facing my eating disorder
and gastric bypass surgery (yes, I know, but it was a last resort for me) I have decided that I
can do without meat... on my vegetarian "stints" I have noticed the improvement on the way I
feel.

What do you think is the most necessary first step for me in order to begin this important
lifestyle decision?... I already went to my nutritionist, whom DID NOT agree I should be
vegan... screw that... both me and my wife have decided... so what is your advice?, I'll
appreatiate, it will be much better for me than starting gungho on my own... thanks!
