It's OK, I'm not offended, and thanks for clarifying. I don't think anything you've said would disqualify you as a vegan or that your opponents automatically have any more right to the label than you do. I agree with some of your statements but definitely not with others ... but that doesn't really matter, as long as you reject the use of animal products out of opposition to violence against animals. The word seems to fit you, so why give it up so easily?
