My emphasis is more on not killing than anything else. Of course, I would add to that not to cause suffering, but I'm not hung up about "rights" beyond this. I would never worry about "exploitation" if there weren't some concrete death or pain inflicted as a result. Also, I find terms like "speciesist" ridiculous, and when push comes to shove I do believe in hierarchy. I just don't think that justifies killing. Please don't get offended by the way I phrased this. I suppose I could have made better word choice in places, but I'm just being honest and this is what you asked.
