Subject: Vitamin A Palmitate ?

Is Vitamin A Palmitate animal derived? If so, that would really suck
because both my Raisin Bran and Soy Milk have it listed as an
ingredient. I saw somewhere that Vitamin A (retinol) is animal
derived, but I'm not sure about this Palmitate..
