I get that a lot, too. My diet has been coming up a lot in class because we are doing a unit on food (I teach Spanish). Oftentimes I feel sort of like they are attacking me for my diet. I have to remind them that this is a choice I made for myself, that I'm not trying to push them. By taking the less militaristic stance, a few students have actually perused a Vegan Outreach brochure. Its a slow process...who knows the choice these kids will make in a few years.
