I ate raw for a couple of years when I lived in Hawaii. It was easy to do because the outside temperature was so warm that eating raw foods seemed natural and didn't make me feel too cold. But my body needs some cooked foods in the cold climate of Boston otherwise I would be cold. (Something about I have a damp constitution or something so I need warming foods.)

I do try to eat some raw food mostly salad with carrots and beets because I can feel the energy of the food when I eat something raw.

Yes I am not so much concerned with body image etc but just if I am doing healthy things to my body or not. Hopefully as you say it could be a transitional effect. I was just concerned if it was a signal of a pending problem. But after talking with you I feel better.

One of the books I like to use as a research tool is Healing with Whole Foods by Paul Pitchford. For most of my questions I can usually find an answer there. But not the weight loss thing. So that is why I reached out to the MB. I hope this was the right place to post this message. There are so many boards on this website it is hard to know where to go. :>)
