Today a student brought me two ads from magazines so I could hang them on my bulletin board of "utterly random thoughts and knowledge." One was from PETA, the other from compassion over killing. The student said to me that she didn't like PETA because she thought the were too militant. I am the first vegetarian she's gotten to know. I'm glad that I might be softening her image of vegetarians and that she stopped and took the time to look at the ads and bring them to me. Last week she may have just dismissed them entirely. I appreciate all the encouragement. Sometimes I just need a little cheering.
