This is true, but in my case it had the opposite effect. Peta just came across so outlandish and offensively, that it made me think most vegetarians care more about other animals than human beings. Imo Peta acts very insensitively in such a way that it actually hurts its causes with the general public, because everyone just thinks they are nuts. No offence intended to Peta supporters. Peta has obviously done a lot of good; there is no denying that. But the real question is do they turn so many people off by their methods that the general public is unwilling to listen to most of what they have to say?
I hope I haven't offended anyone, but I felt this point might perhaps be overlooked.
