I suppose that I've been focused on how my work schedule might fit in with the move. I have two weeks off at the end of December in which to move. Otherwise I have a week off here and there throughout the spring, and my summer work plans are not yet defined. Those weeks off in the spring may be more busy with as of yet undetermined freelance work, but I know that this time off in December will be free for me. Also, I think that I'm holding onto a sentimental idea that I will have lived here for exactly five years in January, and that it feels right for the change to coincide with the new year. Also, I'm hopeful to decide on these properties because they are priced very well and may not last. Of course, other things might become available, but that's not a given. I'm a seize the day kind of guy. However, I won't commit to something unless I feel very clear about it. Sometimes, that clarity comes in the form of the inner voice saying, "Go for it!" I'm rarely disappointed when I follow that voice. Thanks for reminding me of that very practical consideration. I'll keep that in mind. True, this move doesn't have to happen right away. The furnace repairs are actually not too extreme, and, though it needs more of an inspection, I wouldn't need to replace the entire furnace--at least not yet. The furnace issues are not a required repair. The evaluation just says, "Firepot door is not self closing and door latch has not been filed off." I don't really have a clue what these words mean, but I'll be sure to get someone in there that does have a clue before I sign anything. Of course, I could pull out if the inspection revealed some monster problem that I hadn't anticipated. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the most recent update from the HSN!:-) ~Just
