Subject: Poll time: What hobbies and interests do you have?

I'll actually post about a cheerful topic for a change, instead of
descending upon the board like an agent of doom with some crisis that
needs to be addressed with letters and calls. ;)
What are some of your hobbies and interests, in addition to
veganism/animal rights? For me, the favorite would definitely be
reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I'm also interested in movies,
natural history (especially dinosaurs), cooking, herbal medicine,
tropical fish, non-UFO paranormal stuff ("true" ghost stories and the
like--- I must have watched the old "In Search Of" series with Leonard
Nimoy too much in my formative years), and needlecrafts, among other
things. I tend to develop an interest in topics after glimpsing them on
TV or in a book or magazine and then following up on them on the
internet or at the library.
Recently, I've really gotten into knitting. I like using wooden,
circular needles and natural fibers--- I'm especially interested in
trying hemp yarn--- and want to learn how to dye my own yarn using
natural, plant-derived dyestuffs. And until falling off the wagon (or
treadmill) these last three weeks, I was also getting interested in
preventive nutrition and exercise (maybe this confession will help
propel me back onto the treadmill).
So... now that I've outed myself as a complete nerd, how about the rest
of you?
