acidophilos is actually OK! But you certainly don't really want to give bunnies any grains, no processed human foods and very little fruit and sugary/starchy foods. But a tablespoon or so is OK as a treat. Thats it. The raw veggies are the best! And the hay is the MOST important. That will limit their life expectancy the most if they don't have enough!! Also limit the high calcium greens like kale, collards and spinach. Too much can cause kidney stones. They love the dandelion greens, romaine, dill, etc. etc. And yes, no breads, cereals, etc. at all, no yogies, and other treats with refined sugar and dairy products. I keep my fruits to usually papaya and pineapple since those are best but also will give them watermelon, apple, banana, orange, grapefruit on occassion for treats.

I also use only Oxbow for my pellets. Right now since Sandy is still underweight, I have some Peter's mixed in with it. But thats only to build her up a touch more. After that, its only Oxbow for my guys!

Right now Simba is so overweight from the lady who took care of him, he can't even run anymore. Its really important to not to overfeed these guys into obesity!! Its not healthy for them. My guys get a lot of exercise, so I have never had a problem with my bunnies getting overweight.

And make sure the bunny is trimmed up front and can get to the cecum. They must eat this!

Just no refined foods. Treats from Busy Bunny made out of timothy hay, etc. are OK though.
