You're so right about the diet . . . mine got gloppy poopies -- geez, sorry for the graphics, but I took them to a vet and the vet knew NOTHING about rabbits, he was going to give them acidophilus which they shouldn't have! I was at the time feeding them things like oats and crackers and dried toast, which they LOVE, but too much refined and messed up their little systems. I did some research and read about diet and everything you said is right on, I now feed them unlimited hay, 1/3 cup of pellets daily (which they don't need at all), lots of vegetables, I find that carrots are too sweet and cause problems, and too many fruit treats do also, I give them a little banana or apple here and there. 10-16 years!! I think we're going to move them to an area we sectioned off in the garage which has access to my house and will be heated like the house, we're tired of living with a teenager and only one bathroom!! LOL!
