There are quite a few books on aromatherapy (probably in your library). Most stores I've
been in that sell essential oils have sample displays of them so you can smell each one.
I've collected so many over the years that it's just great fun to play with them. A book
will give you so many ideas of ways to combine them and other things to do with them,
too. Have fun,
