Thanks for all this info. I will admit that I'm scared. When my Teddy Bear almost died from blockage, was one of the hardest times of my life. He's fine now after having the PU and I don't worry about blockage, but I still watch litter activity on all four of my babies.

The first time I had to take Teddy Bear back to the vet (about a year after the ordeal) I fainted in the vet's office because I was sooo stressed from the memory alone. I'm better now too.

My hubby wants to get them off this food, and I want to BUT, I'm afraid. I'm glad for this research. It gives me a jumping off point to do a bit of research on my own.

Amy, how did you determine the wet cat food angle to solve the problem?

My little bear is always hungry on the prescription food and just cries for food. But at 19 lbs, we have to watch his weight - he has been as heavy as 22 lbs. But in all fairness when he get on my lap (he's a lap kitty) he takes up all of my legs from foot to tummy! I'm 5'4"+ so, he is TINY (at least in his mind).

Thanks Amy!

Jena
