Thats an idea! How do you know when the squash is ripe? Do they give to the touch? I have 3 of them. I guess I really am a heretic when it comes to cooking. I like to have "ideas" but come up with my own recipes. I did do a hazelnut pate with a pinch of nutmeg and cayenne pepper in it and it was AMAZING! Allspice I think might be something to explore.......thats used a lot in African and Jamaican recipes, right? Ironically, I haven't had much experience with squash, so this will be a new territory for me. Humm....I bet the crunch of diakon in a blended, warmed soup might be amazing!! Gee, now I'm getting HUNGRY! I'm printing down these ideas......thanks!! I guess I should get "moving" now though.....
