Hi Lucy, I know what it is like to be alone, and I can relate to you so much except for the fact that I am no longer in college and I wasn't vegan in college. Even now, just living life, I feel alone and it's more than just being vegan, but I am just going to talk about the vegan part for now. It's a different lifestyle than, what about 97% of the rest of the population? It's not easy. When I lived in North Jersey, it was great, they had so many health food stores up there and vegan/vegetarian restaurants, even most of the supermarkets had a nice selection of vegan items, and maybe most people still were not vegetarians, at least I didn't know of many who were hunters and fishermen. Since I moved to South Jersey, right outside of Atlantic City, not far from the ocean, practically all the guys are fishermen if not also hunters. People are not health conscious. There is one health food store that is about 15 minutes from me and the only one around, but the prices are ridiculously high. I mean RIDICULOUSLY HIGH. I really can't even afford to shop there (I buy alot online). And with Atlantic City being such a popular town, with 11 casinos (most of whom have at least 4-5 restaurants plus many fast food shops), can you believe there is not even ONE vegetarian restaurant or at the very least a "health conscious" restaurant??? There is not one vegetarian restaurant in the whole county! People are just not evolved as they are in North Jersey, can you believe I actually work with people who don't own a computer? I have lived here for less than a year and a half and have not had a single date, and I can't imagine dating any of the guys down here. I think I need to get out of here. So I know what you mean when you say you feel lonely. I know you said you have alot of friends online, but if you want to be pen pals, just let me know. Choosing a lifestyle that is different from the majority is difficult no matter what that alternative lifestyle is. I have to admit, one thing that's hard for me to deal with is these discs in the earlobes that have started to become popular. Yuk! No offense to anyone, I just have a hard time looking at that! Does that mean I am getting old? Oh no!!! Peace~ Silvia
