I have been vegan since high school and I feel more passionate about it as my journey goes on. High school was okay since everybody kind of knew each other already. But now that I'm in my sophomore year in college, I feel very lonely and isolated in the small campus. I don't want to hate others, but I despise how over 30% of girl talks involve dead food. I feel like there isn't anyone I can relate with totally because I never speak up about veganism and I pretend to be passive in general. I wanted to help pass out flyers at the beginning of the semester, too, but I got cold feet and backed out. Worst of all, my dad is always saying "but you used to love this...". "Well, I used to, but then I found out about the truth behind these foods you take for granted." So you can see that I don't have much support at home either, but I feel scared that people will treat me differently if I'm vegan in school as well. I really want some vegan friends, not just online, what do I do?
